BCE is back!

After the first wave of the Covid-19 vires has passed is Brink Composite Engineering back. We strengteneth our bonds with our partners and were quickly invited to the office space of Inholland Composites in Delft. Here the story of BCE continues. Currently we are invested in small projects such as material testing and new product development. Also we joined a research project called FIXAR. This research is mainly focussing on maintenance of composite parts. This includes for example paint removal, aerodynamic repairs, structural composite repairs, etc.

Concluding, BCE is back! We are back stronger and more determined that ever. BCE is still open for new projects and opportunities so don’t hesitate to contact us via: ruben.vandenbrink@brink-engineering.nl.

BCE is ready for take-off

Since the start of Brink Composite Engineering (BCE) in the beginning of august 2019 multiple projects are kicked off. However, due to having no lack of ambition is BCE still looking for projects. Do you have a small project, you can use an extra hand or need to get testing work done? Contact Ruben van den Brink via +316-24784729 or send a mail to ruben.vandenbrink@brink-engineering.nl and we discuss what BCE can do for you.

Due to the fact that we are a start-up, we’ll do this at a competitive price.

Dolphicam2 is being prepared by Brink Composite Engineering

Wednessday the 31st of July the Dolphicam 2 arrived at Inholland Composites. The Dolphicam 2 was supplied by Dacon BV in a cooperation between Inholland Composites, Dacon BV and Dolphitech. Currently, Brink Composite Engineering is preparing the DC2 for the Composites 2 practical that will be held at Inholland Composites for the aeronautical engineering students at Inholland University of Applied Sciences. The DC2 is capable of detecting defects inside composite laminates made of carbon or glas fiber.

Brink Composite Engineering was therefor tasked with the development of videos to improve the Composites2 practical. The resulting five videos can be seen via the link below.

Finished ROS Industrial course

Last week, the 7th and 8th of July, I took part in a ROS Industrial course hosted by the TU Delft in the Robovalley in Delft. This course explained the basics regarding ROS industrial. ROS Industrial is a Robot Operating System which is able to easily connect sensors with actuators. Due to the fact that the software “open source” is will the applications being growing rapidly.

During the course I worked on setting up workspaces for single robots. This included “listening” to sensors and “activating” actuators to let two robots follow each other automatically. Finally, the gained knowledge was applied on a ABB industrial robotic arm and the Robotino robot which is movement robot equipped with a Lidar and camera to plan movement and map locations.

Brink-engineering now online

The website of Brink-engineering is now officially online. The website will contain information regarding me, Ruben van den Brink, as an engineer. In April 2018 I graduated at Hogeschool van Amsterdam as an Aviation engineer. During my graduation I did research into combining Machine Vision and a industrial robotic arm to automate and improve the vacuum infusion production process. This project was carried out at Inholland Composites Delft where I remained an engineer following my graduation.

Due to my wide interest in composites, automation and engineering in general I decided in July 2019 to start my own company Brink Engineering. This company will focus on supporting small to medium engineering projects by providing experience, knowledge and a innovative look. Interested in my experience gained in previous projects or interested in what I can do for you company? Do not hesitate to contact me via rubenvandenbrink@brink-engineering.nl.
