Finished ROS Industrial course
Last week, the 7th and 8th of July, I took part in a ROS Industrial course hosted by the TU Delft in the Robovalley in Delft. This course explained the basics regarding ROS industrial. ROS Industrial is a Robot Operating System which is able to easily connect sensors with actuators. Due to the fact that the software “open source” is will the applications being growing rapidly.
During the course I worked on setting up workspaces for single robots. This included “listening” to sensors and “activating” actuators to let two robots follow each other automatically. Finally, the gained knowledge was applied on a ABB industrial robotic arm and the Robotino robot which is movement robot equipped with a Lidar and camera to plan movement and map locations.
